The canceled departure flights included:
- Akasa Airlines flight to Andaman at 7:45 AM
- Air India flight to Sri Lanka at 11:20 AM
- Air India flight to Bangalore at 1:20 PM
- Akasa Airlines flight to Bangalore at 1:40 PM
- Air India flight to Mumbai at 3:25 PM
On the arrivals side, the following flights were canceled:
- Akasa Airlines flight from Bangalore to Chennai at 7:05 AM
- Air India flight from Mumbai at 12:05 PM
- Akasa Airlines flight from Andaman at 1:00 AM
- Air India flight from Madurai at 2:45 PM
- Air India flight from Sri Lanka at 3:40 PM
Chennai airport officials confirmed that passengers were informed well in advance of the cancellations. They reassured the public that no major inconvenience occurred, as alternative travel arrangements were made for affected passengers.
