Who said poverty could only demoralise a person?
It is amazing to note that poverty can also instill humility in a person plus it can also motivate him or her to reach unbelievable heights in their lives. The life of Mr. Ansar Shaikh is one such example.
It is superb to note that Ansar Sheikh overcame his adversity and he cleared the tough civil services examination in flying colours. He became the youngest ever IAS officer in India. It is well known to us that lakhs of people appear for the civil services examinations and just few hundred clear the exam. To clear the exam, hard work plus dedication etc are needed from the aspirants.
Who is Ansar Shaikh?
He was born and brought up in a Jalna village in the Marathwada district in Maharashtra. His father is an auto driver and mother is a field labourer. It must be noted that his younger brother left his school studies in class 7 to work in a garage to support the family and his sister got married when she was just 15 years. He then went to pursue a UG degree from the famous Pune University. The sensational piece of information is that despite facing financial issues the parents of Ansar Shaikh ensured that their economic issues never came in the way of his education.
In 2016, at the age of just 21, Ansar Shaikh cleared the UPSC civil services examination and got AIR 361. He is currently working as ADM in Cooch Behar district belonging to West Bengal.
