Rain Alert for Tamil Nadu: RMC Chennai Forecasts Showers in 13 Districts
The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Chennai has issued a rain forecast for 13 districts across Tamil Nadu, expecting showers until 10 a.m. on Thursday. Due to cyclonic circulation over the south Bay of Bengal, heavy rainfall is likely in Chennai and other coastal districts today.
Moderate rainfall is forecasted for Chennai, Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Mayiladuthurai, and Nagapattinam. Meanwhile, light rainfall is expected in Ranipet, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Tiruvarur, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, and Tirunelveli districts on November 7.
Over the next few hours, skies are expected to be partly cloudy, with the possibility of moderate to heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in some areas. Temperatures are predicted to range between 31-32°C during the day and 24-25°C at night.
