At her age when other school students would be very busy preparing for their examinations or spending time with their families and friends etc, this 13 yr old Nithila from Chennai is different!!
Words would not be enough to praise the achievement of the class 6 TN Government School girl Nithila from Chennai. The students and teachers belonging to the Government School in Ashok Nagar in Chennai would feel happy and proud that a student from their school has done amazingly in karate. Truth is that this has happened for the very first time now. Nithila, a 13 year old student has now won Gold medal in 46kg category at the karate championship that took place in Ludhiana.
From 11th to 17th of December, the event named SGFI 0r School Games Federation India was conducted by Directorate of School Education of Punjab.
After winning several such types of karate championships in TN, Nithila was selected for this event in Ludhiana. It must be noted that in the state level karate championship that took place at Karaikudi in TN, as many as 252 students participated in the 46lg category.
Her father, Mr. Sampath Kumar (who himself is a karate coach) was very happy about her daughter winning the Gold medal at Ludhiana. He spoke about how it was a proud moment for all. He threw light about how Nithila from TN Govt School winning the Gold medal for the first time would inspire other students also. It is superb to note that Nithila has been participating and winning many karate competitions in the past also. She made many heads turn when she won a Silver medal at India Open Karate Tournament. Fantastic Nithila!! All the Best!!
