With about 12500 Singara Chennai travel cards sold by the MTC or Metropolitan Transport Corporation in Chennai, the launch of the mobility travel card has been successful.
It must be recalled that MTC introduced the Singara Chennai travel card in pursuit of digital ticketing transactions for cashless purchase of the tickets in the MTC buses and Chennai metro trains etc. Point to be noted is that it cannot be used to purchase tickets in the suburban trains.
