Chennai Airport Enhances Safety with New Emergency Vehicles

Chennai International Airport has upgraded its emergency services by adding new vehicles to improve safety and medical response. On Monday, Airport Director CV Deepak inaugurated two advanced fire engines and four modern ambulances.

With the rise in passenger traffic, the number of firefighting vehicles has now increased to nine. The new fire engines have a 10,000-litre water capacity, 1,300 litres of foam, and are equipped with a 705 hp engine, capable of reaching speeds of 80 km/h within 30 seconds.

Additionally, four newly equipped ambulances, each with the capacity to carry four patients, have been introduced to enhance the airport`s medical services.
