You can buy sugar and palm oil in ration shops on 1st November on occasion of Deepavali

1st November falls on Friday. Normally first Fridays are declared holidays for ration shops but the Government has declared 1st November as a working day for ration shops. Deepavali festival falls on 2nd November. The poor people depends the ration shops for sugar, rice, pulses and palm oil.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has ordered that the shops in Tamil Nadu should be opened throughout the day and supply the materials without any hindrance to the card holders. All the materials be available. The supplies have been sent beforehand.
