ECR to get widened in March

ECR – the East Coast Road will get widened soon. This 33 km road will get extended during March 2014. Officials from the Tamil Nadu road development company stated that the encroachments from the road will soon be removed completely and that most of them are already removed. They also added that the landowners are paid with compensations and this is almost done.
This widening of the road is planned in order to reduce the number of accidents that are caused because of the number of vehicles on the road.
