Flowers Price Increased in Chennai
The flow of flowers transportation is low in the Chennai Koyambedu market, the price got increased. Usually, the Koyambedu market will get flowers from various places like Madurai, Bangalore and AndraPradesh on the daily basis. In this stance the price of Jasmine & Jasminum flower and several other flowers price got increased suddenly when compared to the last two weeks.
Regarding
this price increase, the Koyambedu Flower market business Committee Chief, ArulVisakam
states that:
During
the last Octber months Saraswathi Pooja
, Vijayadasami festivals, the price of Jasmine and Jasminum flower lies Rs.900
per Kilo. After that due to low in functions and auspicious days, the price got
descent and sols for Rs.120 per Kilo. For the reason of high snowfall, the
production of flowers got affected heavily. The usual flow of nearly 20 ton
flowers to the Koyambedu market got reduced and the rate got increased more.
The
garments with the Sampangi flower cost Rs.50 to Rs.800 and the garments with
Rose flower rates Rs.150 to Rs.2000.
Below
is the flower rate status as on Wednesday: Jasmine: Rs.450; Sampangi : Rs.70;
Arali Rs.100; Rose: Rs. 80; Jasminum: Rs.350 and so on.
