Golden Opportunity for Engineering College Students - Avail Short Scope in IIT
During the 2014- 2015 academic year, various engineering college students can pursue their classes in IIT for a specific period of time.
For this plan,
NIIT, Trichy has planned to put the contract with the Chennai IIT soon.
The assembly
carried out in IIT on 5 March gave its nod to this new plan. Soon, all the
selective colleges will sign their bond for this new innovative measure with
IIT, Chennai.
As of now we
have signed the contract with Trichy NIIT for this plan. Soon we will get into
the agreement with various NIT institutes including: NIIT Mangalore Soorakal,
Karnataka; NIIT, Kozhikode, Kerala; NIIT Warangal, Andra, says Dean of the IIT,
Sarid K.
Then IIT will
soon sign up the contract with Guindy Engineering College and several selective
Private colleges.
Third year
completed students in respective colleges, can continue their final year course
in Chennai IIT. IIT will provide the scholarship for the respective students.
On successful
completion of the course in IIT, the B.E/ B.Tech degree will be rendered by the
student’s originative colleges.
After the course completion, the outstanding students can even pursue their PhD in IIT along with the scholarship. In order to encourage the research work, IIT is introducing these kind of initiative steps, he added.
