50 Trivial Budget Airports Soon!

Amid the proposal of developing smaller towns, Central Government has recognized the development of 50 trivial airports on a low-budget base.

This surface the division of the massive plan of developing 200 trivial airports by 2020, in order to bring in air connectivity beyond metros; for this central government will offer fund to the Aviation industries if needs, stated by the Ashok Lavasa, secretary in the civil aviation ministry.

He stated that, the arena of these low budget airports is to mainly bring down the high operating costs in the sector of the 450 used/unused/abandoned airports and airstrips which spread across the country.

Our motto is to bring in the collaborative framework of the state and central government and the airlines to enhance passenger traffic in non-metro cities, he added on Thursday.

While dealing with the need for the detaching air navigation from the Airports Authority of India, Lavasa said a circular note had been spread to frame a separate body for air navigation also both the regional connectivity and route dispersal policy has been verbalized, he added.

FICCI will work with civil aviation industry to support this endeavor and maintain excellence in technology and manufacturing sector, says the A Didar Singh, secretary-general of FICCI.
