Tamil Nadu State Health Minister launches the Website for the Department of Food Safety and the App for consumer complaints!

In an event organized at the Conference Hall of the Chennai Multi-Specialty Hospital in Chennai Metro City on Anna Salai, yesterday (Wednesday, 4th May), the Health Minister of Tamil Nadu State Government, Ma. Subramanian, launched the official website of the Department of Food Safety and the Consumer Complaint App.
After the launch, the Tamil Nadu Health Minister shared with the press:
"As per the guidelines of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, the official website of the Department of Food Safety, www.foodsafety.tn.gov.in, and the App (for cell phones) TN.CONSUMER.AP have been launched.
The website has been designed to function in two languages (Tamil and English) and is accessible even to differently-abled citizens through the Screen Reader Approach.
The website provides contact details of all officials from various ministries, addresses of the food inspectors, laboratory charges for testing grain pulses, information about banned food items, and court orders related to food product inquiries. All this data can also be accessed through the App.
