According to a recent survey report, nine out of ten diabetic patients assume themselves to have controlled level of sugar.
The survey was conducted by Abbott Sugar Survey together with the Association of Physicians of India (API). This included participation of 1500 adults out of which over 94 per cent of them assume themselves to be controlled of their sugar level which is a total wrong perception of their health. They believe that they do not have to monitor their sugar level regularly.
The survey had people from across 8 cities with uncontrolled diabetes with 302 caregivers and about 60 doctors.
According to one of the endocrinologist, patients assume themselves healthy without high levels of sugar as they feel physically well. They wrongly relate their blood sugar and weight loss or healing of wounds.
So now, what’s your thought about your health?
