Study on UK dietary guideline practices

According to results from a new study, it is found that consumption of healthy diet that is low in saturated fat and sugar will hugely reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease in both men and women above the age 40.
 
The research was conducted by the King’s college London in which healthy men and women were studied for the incurrence of heart disease. Out of the total participants, 162 men and women were made to modify their diet practices and take a slew to diet with less sugar and salt, and consume more of fruits and fish On following this diet practice for about 12 weeks, a reduction in body mass index of 0.7 was identified. And the cholesterol level was also found to have got reduced by 8 per cent. According to the study result, those who stick on to the UK dietary guideline have reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases and the possibility reduces by one third.
