According to finding from a new study, it is said that risk of developing diabetes can be fought by consuming four eggs per week in your diet.
It was surprising for the University of Eastern Finland researchers to study on eggs that were believed to contain high levels of cholesterol and elevate risk factors with type 2 diabetes by over 40 per cent. The good effects of eggs may be because of the nutrients it contains and the way in which it helps improve the body metabolism and reduce inflammation that results in chronic illness.
This study involved 2332 middle-aged men who signed up for this study in the year 1980. The scientists found that men those who had 4 eggs a week enjoyed 38% lesser possibility of falling ill compared to those who never had eggs at all. Also it was found that these men had lower levels of sugar without any heavy rise in cholesterol. It was however added that consumption of about four eggs in a week did not increase the effect and that the cooking process of the egg was not taken under consideration. The study result was published in American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
