Jackfruit is tropical and is similar to the durian. It’s scientific name is Artocarpus heterophyllus. Here are its health benefits. 

ENERGY: Jackfruit is high is energy because of simple sugars like fructose and sucrose. 100 grams of the fruits has upto 95 calories. 
MINERALS: This delicious fruit is a rich source of iron, manganese, magnesium and potassium. 
FIBRE: Jackfruit is so high in fibre that it works as a natural laxative. Also, this helps the system fight against cancer causing chemicals in the colon. 
VITAMINS: The fruit is rich in Vitamin B complex and its components - niacin, riboflavin and folic acid. Vitamin C contains antioxidants and helps against resistance against infections. Jackfruit also has a small but significant trace of Vitamin A
