Lemon is a wonder fruit for dandruff affected skin. Here are a few home remedies that will help you control dandruff and leave your scalp feeling clean and itch free.

The easiest way is to just rub a live of lemon to your scalp and let it rest for a few minutes. As it rests, use the juice of half a lemon and mix in water. Rinse your hair with this water. Repeat this two or three times a week. Remember that lemon is acidic - your hair may get bleached if used too many times.

To avoid the bleaching, use lemon with oil. Stir a teaspoon of lemon in two tablespoons of the oil of your choice. Apply on your scalp and let be for an hour. You may also add lemon peels into a cup of coconut oil. Let the oil soak in the lemon for a month before using.

The lemon pack controls dandruff while nourishing your hair. To make the pack, beat together one whole egg, one tablespoon of the oil of your choice and the juice of half a lemon. Apply onto your scalp and hair. Leave on for half an hour and wash off with your regular shampoo.

Fenugreek or methi seeds are another natural ingredient that helps fight dandruff. Soak methi seeds overnight. In the morning, grind them into a fine paste. To a tablespoon of this paste, add a teaspoon of lemon juice and apply to your hair. Leave for half an hour and wash off with your regular shampoo.

Another home staple that can be used along with lemon is yoghurt. Add a teaspoon of lemon juice to yoghurt and use as a pack. Leave on for half an hour and wash off with your regular shampoo.
