It is important to take care of your skin before and after your workout. Not doing so may lead to poor skin health, itching and acne. Here are a few tips.
Before your workout, remove all your make up. You may sweat excessively during your work out and this, combined with your make up, may cause itching and pimples. Removing your make up allows your skin to breathe. Sweating also leads to dehydration. To keep your skin hydrated at all times, apply a light moisturiser. Don`t forget to use a deodorant before you start.
After your workout, wash your face properly. This will remove all the sweat that is on your skin, along with any dirt that may have stuck on. Use a hydrating face wash with natural ingredients if you have dry skin. If your skin is oily, make sure to use an oil balancing face wash. Apply moisturiser while your skin is still damp. This will seal in the moisture, keeping your skin healthy.
