How to keep your nails healthy

Experts say that the best way to treat stained or yellow nails is the apple a mixture of glycerine, rose water and lemon juice. Eating well also helps in nail health, they say. 

Applying the above mixture and leaving on for three to five minutes before washing will show good results. Another way of maintaining nails is to massage them for ten minutes after dripping them in almond oil. Do this every night before going to bed to make them stronger. Almond oil nourishes your nails while preventing brittleness, boosting nail growth and adding whiteness.

Nails consist of a hard protein that is a component of keratin. Eating healthy, especially including B-complex and vitamin-E in your diet helps boost the keratin formation and keep your nails healthy. Add B Complex enriched foods such as fish, egg, beans, broccoli, milk and milk products, potatoes and red meat to your meals.
