Canadian doctors during a research have mentioned that gentle exercise like going for a stroll may help ward off memory decline in old people.
As of now there are more than Crores are suffering from memory decline. The doctors say that the reason for this is due to of less blood flow in the brains. Though healthy food, less weight and non smoking may increase the blood flow in the brains, the scientists say that three times a week of moderate intense aerobic exercise will improve the blood flow. The medical scientists say that regular exercise will bring normal blood flow in the brains and this will help memory increase, decision talents and better education skills for students.
Researcher Teresa Liu-Ambrose who is an associate professor at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver conducted a research. For the study, Liu-Ambrose worked with a group of people, average age 74, who had slight thinking and memory problems.
Half the participants took part in one-hour exercise classes three times a week for six months. The other half received information about mental decline and a healthy diet but was not given information about physical activity. After 2 months, it was found that who had exercised had more mental increase and talent.
