Food items which do not have expiry date have been listed. Please identify them and preserve them even if they have been kept for long periods.
One of the food items which never go rotten is honey. It may change color or even may transform into sugar. Still, it is good to take. If the honey kept in your house for long periods is in the form of sugar, keep the bottle in warm water for some time till the sugar melts.
When rice is kept over a long period, dust particles may settle on it. However, the rice will still be good. Especially, rice varieties like white Basmati rice will be good forever. Since hand-pounded rice contains somewhat larger content of oil, it is likely to go bad.
Some people buy white vinegar and keep it for long periods and then hesitate to use it when it is required. Please note that there is absolutely no need for any hesitation. White vinegar never goes bad.
Just like honey, salt is another item which never goes bad. It remains just fresh as it was bought despite a number of years. If cornflour is kept in an airtight dry container, it will never go bad.
Sugar also does not go bad. If kept properly in an airtight container it will remain good for several years.
Dry beans, when cooked immediately after purchase, become soft. However, if it is kept for some time and used after a gap, it will remain somewhat harder even after cooking. But, dry beans will never lose its nutrient contents.
