It is during summer that bacteria multiply faster. And the most common diseases that hit people is food poisoning. This is really very serious if left untreated or treated on time. How do you stay safe and keep these diseases at bay? Here are a few tips to keep foods fresh during summer.
Keeping inside fridge is the only way to keep all salads and meat afresh. The temperature should be maintained at 5 degree Celsius or even lesser. If you have purchased any frozen food, keep it inside fridge immediately. Reduce the total number of times you open the fridge.
- Make sure to reheat food in a proper way. The food should get boiled or heated well.
- Before starting to cook frozen food, you should make sure that you thaw it well. While storing raw meat in fridge, there should be good distance between the meat and other cooked food items. Only by doing so, you can prevent the cooked foods from getting chilled with raw meat juice that oozes out.
- Maintain separate chopping boards for raw meat and other veggies and fruits. So, the bacteria cannot enter your veggies and the two cannot mix up.
- Wash all veggies properly before cutting.
