Though it is better not to step out of the house to face the severe summer, it is not practically possible for most of us to escape from the scorching heat.
Here are some smart tips to protect oneself from the severity of the blazing summer:
- Drink at least 3 litres of water every day.
- Avoid snack items and instead, take buttermilk, tender coconut and fruits.
- Take oil bath twice a week to reduce the body heat.
- As sweating is more profuse in summer, the problem of falling hair will be encountered. So, wash the hair using shampoos.
- In order to keep the hair in relatively cool condition, mix a paste of fenugreek seeds and curd – apply on the head and allow this to soak for a few minutes and then take bath and wash the paste
- Lips tend to crack due to summer intensity: apply a little milk-cream on the lips before going to sleep. Wash the next day morning with cotton dipped in rose water.
- Aloe Vera provides cool quality to the body – so, use the paste of aloe vera to keep the skin in good condition and for a shining face.
- Apply Vaseline or warm coconut milk on the face and massage for 15 minutes, this will prevent the skin from getting dry.
- Use a covering cloth or umbrella while going out during hot sun in order to protect the body and the skin.
- Get the ideal haircut meant especially for the summer season.
