Good eating is all about moderation and not eliminating

These days, there are a lot of talks revolving around our eating habits. Due to the presence of carbs and sugars, just eating an extra bowl of veggies are considered non-healthy! If you want to abide by the practices of clean-eating gurus, you will have to skip a lot of dairy products, sugary items and carb-rich foods! However, when it is festival time, you got to have some extra cheer.

A renowned nutritionist and physicians says he had written about artificial sweeteners in a journal for which a prominent reader stated that he has always allowed his children have diet soda once in a while, but they are doing okay despite the same.

People often assume foods to be either of magical benefits or poisonous. What we eat are often thought keenly. Doing cherry-picking research is the reason behind. All these are told to be the cause for cancer.

When we are told that something is bad for us, we tend to go overboard. People tend to get fearful and will consider such precautions seriously. When you cherry-pick, you will start researching for each and everything, he claims.

Gluten-free consumption

The idea of gluten-free consumption is often accepted. In fact, about 50 percent of the world’s total population doesn’t even know what gluten is. Skipping gluten from diet is one of the easiest steps one could take. This idea of gluten-free diet doesn’t have any evidence at all.

All it does is just the nocebo effect. This is opposite to the placebo effect where we tend to feel that the harm will go away just by eliminating something. It is all about it!

So, according to experts, the very first key of eating is moderation. Food is to be enjoyed and not worried about.

Breaking the myth about sugar

It is a myth that sugar is poisonous. Be it a spoon full of sugar or a drizzle of honey, either of them are okay as long as your volume of consumption is not more than 25g per day. In fact, it is also fine to exceed this limit, but you need not worry unless you don’t binge on it.

Milk is divine as long as you have it in moderation

Coming on to good foods to the body, milk is not anything divine. Milk is actually a dessert, according to expert nutritionists. We are always told that milk does all the good to our body. And as we believe the same, we go overboard and load our body with it too much!

Take a deeper look, and you will know that the excessive calcium content in milk may by itself have downsides just the way other desserts do. Ultimately, you need not push to consume milk every single day.

Befriend your coffee cup

And coffee – it is certainly not cancerous as presumed to be. It is imperative to take a deeper look at what is dangerous and what is not. Definitely, coffee is not dangerous as smoking is.

The verdict

The key is to eat fresh foods in a very balanced way. So, the man-induced processes need to be cut down. A simple apple juice is a processed food, but eating apple is fresh and good – not the same in juice form.

Bread is processed food and of course, junk too. As long as you have anything in moderation, it is okay!
