People face many health issues these days and Gout is one such health issue that has been affecting many. Known as ‘disease of kings’ this Gout was said to affect only rich people who ate meat and drank alcohol. These days Gout is affecting many people as many people consume meat and alcohol regularly and statistics regarding Gout has been on the rise all over.

There are many types of inflammatory arthritis and Gout is one such inflammatory arthritis with red tender swollen joints. High levels of uric acid in blood cause this Gout. It is said that both diet as well as genetic factors are responsible for this health issue in us. People with this Gout have severe pain in their joints and find their daily lives very tough.

The various home remedies for Gout that could be tried are

Consume cherries - This is one of the most important home remedy for Gout. Cherry has great amounts of anthocyanins in them and by consuming these cherries uric acid crystal deposition in our joints could be reduced.

Drink more water - Water drinking is very important for us as the water helps in the effective functioning of our kidneys. These kidneys play vital role of removing uric acid from our blood into urine. When we don’t drink more water then uric acid crystals gets accumulated and would lead to Gout.

Vitamin C intake - This is also very important and it reduces Gout problem. It is revealed that daily consuming 500 mg of vitamin C supplements for a time period of 3 months decreases the body uric acid levels.

Consume probiotics - By consuming probiotics with Lactobacilli species plantarum, brevis etc the uric acid level in our blood gets lowered. It is important to mention that over intake of these probiotics would harm our health so this must be done with caution.

Consume more low dairy products - It is known that some foods when consumed increase the uric acid levels whereas other foods reduce the levels of this uric acid. Consuming more of low dairy products could reduce the levels of uric acid in us.  

Consume baking soda - By consuming baking soda this problem of Gout could be reduced as uric acid levels are reduced greatly. It must be noted that this baking soda is mixed with water and must be consumed by a person for four times in a day. This procedure must be carried out for 4 weeks for better results.
