Haemoglobin in us could be increased by consuming these foods

The factors such as sedentary lifestyle, stress and anxiety etc could lead to many health issues in this fast paced life of us. It is revealed that one common health issue many of us have is the deficiency of haemoglobin.

It is known that haemoglobin is an iron rich protein and is found in red blood cells. Important point is the oxygen is carried throughout our body by this haemoglobin. Decrease in the haemoglobin level in us could result in weakness, fatigue etc. It must be noted that if the haemoglobin level drops significantly then the condition is called as anaemia.

Haemoglobin requirement in humans:
It is important to mention that a male needs 13.65 to 17.7 gms per decilitre haemoglobin whereas a female needs 12 to 15.5 gms per decilitre haemoglobin.

There are certain foods that must be consumed so that the haemoglobin levels get increased. These foods are

Intake of vitamin C rich foods:
Body cannot fully absorb iron hence a medium is needed that would help in the absorption of iron. It is said that vitamin C plays a superb role in the iron absorption. Foods like oranges, tomatoes, grapefruits etc must be consumed by us as these are rich in vitamin C.

Intake of iron rich foods:
Low haemoglobin levels in us could be due to deficiency of iron. Therefore foods loaded with iron must be consumed by us. Green leafy vegetables, tofu, spinach, eggs, whole grains, pulses etc are few examples of foods rich in iron content.

Intake of folic acid rich foods:
To produce red blood cells in the body, folic acid is required and folic acid is vitamin B complex is known. Low haemoglobin levels in us could be due to deficiency of folic acid.  Foods like sprouts, green leafy veggies, dried beans, broccoli etc are few examples of folic acid rich foods.

Intake of pomegranate fruit:
It is superb to mention that pomegranate is one of the best foods that would increase haemoglobin in us. It also has calcium and iron along with protein, carbohydrates etc. it is advised to drink pomegranate juice every day so that the haemoglobin levels are maintained.
