For the dry socket dental issue, these remedies would be effective

A painful dental condition, dry socket, occurs when a permanent adult tooth is extracted. Point is the dry socket occurs when the blood clot either moves out or never develops at the site of tooth extraction.

Various symptoms of dry socket:

A person with dry socket would have these symptoms like bad breath, mild fever, severe pain in the jaw and bad taste in the mouth etc.

Home based treatment for dry socket issue:

Rinsing mouth with salt water:

It is said that by rinsing the mouth with salt water bacteria, pain and swelling gets lowered.  It would remove the food particles from the socket and reduce the risk of infection. In the first step, add half teaspoon of salt to a glass of warm water. Then take this inside the mouth and swish it for a minute.

Application of tea tree oil:

It is known that persons having dry socket would have pain and inflammation. This tea tree oil has got antibacterial, antiseptic properties etc and it could treat the pain and inflammation effectively. In the first step, tea tree oil is mixed with honey and applied to sterile gauze. Later, the gauze is placed over the dry socket.

Application of chamomile tea:

Faster healing is got by the anti-inflammatory as well as antioxidant properties of chamomile tea. In the first step a bowl of boiling water is taken and chamomile tea bag is placed in it for few minutes. Later, the tea bag is squeezed and placed over the affected place for 15 minutes.

Application of clove oil:

Clove oil would be available in our homes and it could be used to treat dry socket dental issue. Pain and swelling could be eased due to antibacterial, antimicrobial and antiseptic properties of clove oil. The clove oil is added to sterile gauze and the gauze is applied on the affected portion for some time.
