Health EMI card launched by Apollo Hospitals

Apollo Hospitals Group has collaborated with Bajaj Finserv and has launched a ‘Health EMI card’ now. The card offers a credit limit up to Rs 4 lakhs and it covers nearly 600 procedures for the patients.

Mr Rajeev Jain, MD Bajaj Finance Ltd, pointed out that the Health EMI Card was to enable easy EMI financing for healthcare. There are many Apollo Hospitals in India and the Health EMI card would be accepted in all these hospitals. Personnel accident insurance cover of amount Rs 1 lakh is also available in the card. He explained about how the cards were digitized and how the customers would have it after downloading from the wallet app.

The benefit of this card is it would cover the entire family and the users would be able to convert their medical expenditure to no cost EMIs that could be repaid over 12 month period.

Dr Pratap Reddy, chairman of Apollo Hospitals that in the past heart diseases were rare in the 30-year-olds but now even 15-year-olds have been diagnosed with cardiac ailments. He stressed the necessity of preventive checkups and said everybody must know the status of their health. The patients could finance the treatment process by the EMI cards. This was according to Suneetha Reddy, MD, Apollo Hospitals Group. She then threw light on the Apollo Proton Cancer Centre that has treated 100 cancer patients in its first year.
