Talking about immunity has become very common now with Coronavirus pandemic spreading fast in many places. The health experts have mentioned that by improving the immunity it is possible to be free from this infection. For many years, Ayurveda has been used to improve the immunity in humans is a well known fact.
There are few Ayurvedic herbs that could be used to improve our immunity. These are
Tulsi:
Otherwise called as holy basil, tulsi is one of the important ingredients in Ayurvedic medicine. Tulsi can be added to kadha or to the teas for immunity sake. It is good to chew a few tulsi leaves also. The antimicrobial as well as anti-inflammatory property of tulsi makes it a superb immunity booster.
Ginger:
Rich in antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, ginger is another Ayurveda herb that could improve our immunity against pathogens. It can be added as kadha or in teas etc.
Turmeric:
Turmeric has been consumed in the form of tablets in many western countries. In India, it is used as spice for foods. Haldi Dudh or golden milk that is used to treat muscle pains etc is prepared using turmeric.
Giloy:
Our body would get detoxified plus free radicals would be reduced by giloy intake rich in antioxidants.
