A common issue that is present in the toddlers and small kids is bed wetting. Parents are highly concerned when their kid wets bed regularly. The truth is when the child begins to grow then bedwetting would stop automatically. A study has revealed that 40% of 3 year olds wet their bed regularly. There are some parents who are confused as to why some kids wet beds whereas other kids do not.

There are some reasons for bedwetting by the kids and the reasons are having incomplete control over urinary bladder, child not yet developed enough to recognise a full bladder, presence of UTI in the child and due to obstructive sleep apnea etc.

By these superb ways, a parent can prevent their kids from bed wetting.

By making kid go to toilet before sleep:

It is important that the parents must make their kids go to the bathroom to pass urine 15 minutes before their bed time. By this, the kids would not sleep with a full bladder and bed wetting could be prevented easily.

By not allowing kids to drink sugary drinks before sleep:

The intake of caffeinated drinks or sugary drinks would make a kid urinate while they are asleep. Parents must not allow their kids to drink these before their bed time.

By avoiding punishing kids for wetting bed:

Many parents punish their kids for bedwetting and this must be stopped. Truth is that the kids would feel scared of getting punished and their stress would increase. This would make them urinate more on the bed. It is said that the parents must take a note of those days when their kids do not wet the beds and must appreciate or reward their kids for this.

By waking up kids during sleeping:

This is also one superb way to avoid bedwetting. Parents could wake up their kids while they are sleeping and make them go to washrooms for urinating.

By taking into account constipation also:

Not many parents are aware of the fact that difficulties with constipation could lead to bedwetting during the night time. It has been found that about one third of children wet their bed due to constipation issues. Fact is that the children might not be able to identify or share information regarding their constipation.

By seeking medical help:

When the issue of bedwetting persists at night and in the day time also, then medical help must be sought by the parents without fail.
