Most of us would know that excessive bleeding or loss of blood due to injuries etc could be prevented by blood clotting. Point is that when we get injured then blood clots in that place where injury is present and the bleeding gets stopped and it is a simple process.
This blood clotting process would become dangerous and of serious concern when a person starts developing clots in blood vessels without any reason. By this, the flow of oxygen to the heart or to various other parts of the body might get stopped. This might result in a heart attack or in a stroke etc that are life threatening emergencies.
It is believed that an immobile blood clot might not create any harm for us but when it breaks and goes to heart, lungs etc it can get struck and this would prevent the flow of blood. Point here is that the symptoms of blood clotting could overlap with the symptoms of other issues and the presence of clots are difficult to detect. Proper diagnosis could detect them.
