For a long time, obesity has been related to over or excess eating only. It has become very common for people to put the blame on overeating for the cause of obesity. It must be noted that obesity is a condition of being too heavy for one`s height that would affect the health of the person. By eating processed foods, refined carbohydrates etc:
It is believed that eating noodles, pizzas, cheese burgers etc for breakfast would make us obese. Truth is that these foods are highly rich in saturated fats and even simple carbohydrates in few cases. They break down easily so glucose gets stored in the blood stream and make pancreas to produce more insulin. This would lead to weight gain finally. Poly cystic ovary syndrome or PCOS:
Many women could become obese not only due to over eating but also due to this health condition in them. The studies have confirmed that 40% to 80% women with PCOS are obese. The PCOS condition could have an impact on the metabolic rate and would lead to abnormalities and obesity etc.
By being physically inactive:
Many these days lead a sedentary lifestyle and this could also be one reason for obesity. By not doing any physical activity, the body would accumulate fats and could lead to obesity over a period of time.
Genetics:
The way the body processes fats and stores them would be in the genes itself and genes play a role in obesity of a person. It is worthy to mention that if both parents are obese then there are many chances that the person would also become obese. Hormone deficiency, especially leptin (that would instruct the body to eat less when fat stores are high) could lead to obesity.
Stress:
Many get stressed due to various reasons these days. It is brought out that emotions and mood swings could impact eating patterns and this might lead to obesity after some time. Point is that boredom could also be a reason for this.
