Parents must make their kids eat these compulsorily for health to be good during winters!!

The winter season is on now and people are finding it difficult in this chilly and cold weather. To keep themselves warm, they try various things. At this time of the year adults get allergies and kids get affected with many infections etc. This could be due to poor immunity. Therefore, it is the duty of the parents to make kids eat certain healthy and nutritious foods so that the immunity levels of the kids increase.

Every parent must make their kids eat these foods compulsorily in the winter season. The foods are

Intake of eggs:
It is important that eggs must be provided to their kids by the parents every day in the winter season.  Eggs are rich in minerals like zinc, selenium plus vitamins like D and E and proteins etc. Intake of eggs would not only make the immunity levels better but it would also keep the kids full of energy.

Intake of green leafy vegetables:
The immune system of the kids would become better if parents give them green leafy vegetables that are rich in fibers, carotenoids and folates etc. It must be noted that the green leafy vegetables are a powerhouse of nutrition. Examples are kale, spinach, cabbage etc.

Intake of nuts and dried fruits:
The immune system of the kid would get boosted if the child eats various types of nuts plus dried fruits etc in the winter season. Examples of nuts are cashew nuts, almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios etc.  These are rich in various nutrients like carbohydrates, fibers, proteins, manganese, magnesium etc. Examples of dried fruits are raisins, prunes, dates etc. It is known that the dried fruits are rich in fibers, vitamins and minerals etc.

Intake of millets:
Kangni or foxtail millet, ragi or finger millet, bajra or pearl millets must be given to the kids in the winter seasons to improve their immunity. The millets are a superb source of minerals like calcium, iron, potassium, phosphorus plus vitamins like A, B etc. In the winters, kids could be given bajra roti which is the best source of fibers.

Intake of hot milk:
When consumed, hot milk would keep the child warm plus it would improve the immunity of the child. Milk is rich in ingredients like vitamin A and D plus in zinc, selenium etc and both innate as well as adaptive immune systems could be built in the kids.

Intake of sweet potatoes:
Delicious and highly nutritious, sweet potatoes must be provided by the parents to their kids in the winters. The beta carotene present in sweet potatoes would be converted into vitamin A that is needed for the healthy immune system.

Intake of salmon fish:
In the winter season, parents must give salmon to their kids without fail. Salmon fishes are rich in omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin B12 etc and these could reduce the inflammation in the body of the child. Intake of salmon fish could provide the much needed protein for the kids. Finally, the immunity of the child would get better.
