If in the winter season it is the shivering cold that would push us under blankets, in the summer season it is the scorching heat that makes us very tired and worn out!!

In every season, be it summer or winter, we have different reasons to beat our energy levels. It is natural that we look out for ways to provide us energy and boost our immunity. Majority of us for the sake of energy turn to energy drinks and bars. Not many of us would have thought about making a few changes in our lifestyle to improve our energy levels and boost our immunity in us. Normally, we tend to go towards complex strategies to stay energised and to boost our immunity.

These superb ways can be used to improve energy and boost immunity in us.

By fixing circadian rhythm:
There is a clock inside us and this circadian rhythm or internal clock would regulate our sleep and wake response towards light. It must be noted that circadian rhythm is a 24 hour cycle that the body follows for mental, physical and behavioural health. Every person must try to sleep for 6 to 7 hours compulsorily. It is possible for a person to boost his or her energy naturally by not messing with this circadian rhythm. Sleeping before midnight is important. Good sleep would boost the immunity levels in us.

By doing exercises:
Doing exercises every day for atleast 30 minutes would make the body healthy and would provide energy. Our blood circulation would be superb plus there would be hormonal balance etc by doing exercises. There are many who do not want to go to gyms etc for exercises and they can do all NEAT or non exercise related movements. Various examples of NEAT are washing vehicles, walking upstairs, gardening etc. By these, a person would get the necessary energy.

Drinking enough water every day;
To keep the body functioning well, it is essential that we must drink atleast 6 to 7 glasses of water every day. Many of us drink water after getting worn out after overexposure to sun. In the summer season, we must try to hydrate ourselves well as there would be more loss of fluids. There are many issues we could get due to dehydration like fatigue, mood swings etc.

Avoid large gaps between meals:
It is a must to avoid long gaps between lunch and dinner as it is an unhealthy practice. It is worthy to note that the blood sugar levels drop when there is a long gap between lunch and dinner. Those who have insulin resistance or borderline diabetic etc would experience this more.  This could be overcome by consuming light snacks.

By adding enough proteins to diet:
As per RDA, every day we must eat a minimum of 0.8gms of proteins per kilogram of body weight. It is trtrue that intake of meat would provide us with proteins. For the vegetarian food eaters, there are foods like lentils, chickpeas, peanuts, almonds etc that could provide the much needed proteins.
