Prevent skin tanning this summer by consuming these superb foods!!

The peak summer is fast approaching!!

In the peak summer season, there are more chances that the skin of a person could get tanned. 

When our skin gets exposed to UV radiations from the sun or from artificial sources etc, then our skin would get tanned or get darkened. This is skin tanning. Truth is that there are also some people who would deliberately tan their skin by having a sun bath etc.  There is also sunless tanning where a person would get tanned by using chemical products instead of sun etc. Melanin and vitamin D are produced in the body when a person moderately gets exposed to the sunlight. 

It is learnt that excessive exposure to sunlight could be dangerous as it could lead to sunburn or skin cancer etc. By the intake of certain healthy foods, a person would be able to avoid skin tanning effectively.

Various foods that can prevent skin tanning are

By consuming watermelons:
It is regarded as a magical fruit having a high amount of water. During summers, intake of water melons could keep us hydrated or we could avoid dehydration. Lycopene is an organic pigment present in watermelons and this lycopene and other antioxidants would protect our body from harmful sun rays. By this, we could avoid skin tanning.

By consuming blueberries:
It is well known that blueberries would provide us with numerous health benefits like preventing heart disease, regulating blood sugar levels etc. In addition, intake of blueberries (rich in vitamin C could also make our skin glow and wrinkles etc would get reduced. The antioxidants in the blueberries would remove the dead cells and would help in the generation of new cells. By this, we would be able to avoid or prevent skin tanning.

By consuming seeds:
Our skin would be damaged when we get exposed to the harmful radiation from the sun. We could avoid skin tanning by consuming seeds like walnuts, flaxseeds, chia seeds etc. These seeds are full of omega 3 fatty acids and they would protect the skin from damage.

By consuming green tea:
It would be superb to drink green tea because we could get various health benefits like weight loss, cholesterol control, sugar control etc. It is true that by the intake of green tea we would also be able to avoid skin tanning. It is noteworthy that the detoxifying properties of green tea would help us to maintain the skin colour by removing toxins from the body.

By consuming cauliflower:
Rich in many nutrients, the fibre rich cauliflower can really protect the skskin from getting tanned. The fact is that the presence of alpha amino acids and urocanic acids in cauliflower would prevent skin upper layers from getting damaged by the radiations from the sun.
