Many of us would enjoy eating cherries in the summer right!! People eat cherries straight off the stem or bake them and eat. This seasonal fruit has got minerals like potassium and magnesium plus vitamins like A.C, K and B6 etc. The reddish coloured cherries would provide us with numerous health benefits like lowering inflammation plus protecting heart health, helps in weight loss etc. in addition to these, intake of cherries would also improve the sleep quality too. It is a fact that cherries do not get the attention they deserve inspite of them being full of nutrients. Truth is that we must not eat too many cherries or drupe fruit as it would harm us.

This is one important health issue we might get when we eat excess cherries. Some people have very sensitive stomachs and they must restrict the intake of cherries.
Could lead to allergies etc:
Not many of us would know the fact that by eating too many cherries we could get allergies. Point is that symptoms would be limited to the mouth and throat. There are chances that we could get itching of lips and swelling of mouth etc. Our throat might get jammed when we eat excess cherries.
Could lead to diarrhoea:
By eating too many cherries that are rich in dietary fibres in them, we could get diarrhoea issues in us. It is said that foul stools and diarrhoea are 2 important side effects of eating excess cherries.
Could cause harm for diabetics:
Natural sugars that are present in the cherries are known to us. When a person with a diabetes condition consumes excess of this fruit then he or she would get major health issues. Hence, the diabetics must eat cherries just once in a while and not frequently.
Could lead to nausea and vomiting:
Some people get nausea when they eat too many cherries. Truth is that by eating cherries an allergic reaction would result and this could lead to nausea as well as vomiting.
Could lead to cyanide poisoning also:
It must be noted that cherries are non-poisonous but kernels of cherries have amygdalin in them. Truth is that amygdalin would get converted into hydrogen cyanide or HCN. This would be very dangerous for the health when ingested. The severity of poisoning depends on weight of the body and the number of cherry pits ingested.
