Important information regarding omega 3 fatty acid deficiency!!

We all know the importance of nutrients like vitamins, proteins, minerals etc that are needed for the body to function efficiently. How many of us are really aware of the importance of omega 3 fatty acids?

It is worth mentioning here that omega 3 fatty acids are a polyunsaturated fat needed for the body to function well. Mostly, they play a huge role in maintaining our heart health by reducing the levels of triglycerides. It is known that excess triglycerides would lead to atherosclerosis issues that would further lead to heart disease and strokes etc if left untreated. In addition, omega 3 fatty acids also support our mental health. When we are deficient in omega 3 fatty acids, then we could get numerous symptoms.

Various symptoms of omega 3 fatty acids are

Weakening of eyes:

For our eye health to be superb, omega 3 fatty acids especially DHA is important. We could get dry eyes and blurry vision due to their deficiency.

Sleep issues:

It is necessary to sleep well for 6 to 7 hours for the sake of health. There would be improper sleep or disturbed sleep when we are omega 3 fatty acids deficient. This could lead to restlessness in us.

Tired feeling all the time:

Low levels of omega 3 fatty acids are revealed by feeling tired all the time despite sleeping well. So, please take care.

Presence of excess ear wax:

We could get increased wax production in the ears if we are deficient in omega 3 fatty acids. As a result of excess ear wax we might find it difficult to hear also.

Unbearable pain in the joints:

When we are deficient in omega 3 fatty acids, then we could get severe inflammation in us. This could lead to unbearable joint pain. The anti-inflammatory properties of omega 3 fatty acids play a role here.

Damaged hair and dry skin etc:

Lack of omega 3 fatty acids could also lead to hair and skin issues in us. Our hairs could get damaged and we could have dry and flaky skin. This could lead to dandruff.

Persons who are omega 3 fatty acids deficient must consume foods like fatty fishes (salmon, mackerel, sardines etc). Persons who are pure vegetarians could eat foods like walnuts, flaxseeds, chia seeds and eggs etc plus other foods like spinach, Brussel sprouts, kale etc.
