A Health Emergency Care System on Wednesday will be launched by Health secretary Dr J Radhakrishnan. The system has been designed to help handle medical illness and emergencies in schools.
This system consist of clinical protocols to guide schools on the management of common medical illnesses like fever, abdominal pain, injuries like falls of children while they are at school. It also consists of a parent messaging system through which parents can be informed instantly by text messages and email about their childs medical illness and detail sof first-aid given.
The system has been implemented, tested and validated on students at a private school and is now ready for use by any school, said doctors. G S K Velu, managing director of Trivitron Health Group will be the chief guest at the function
