Dark circles around the eyes make you look old and tired. Although it is believed to be hereditary, there are other factors like lack of sleep, stress and bad habits that contribute to it. Here are a few tips to tackle dark circles:
- Improve blood circulation around the eyes by massaging Vitamin E oil around them. Use externally only.
- Wear sunglasses when stepping out into the sun. These protect your eyes from harmful UV rays.
- Get at least 8 hours of sleep a day.
- Place a cold, used tea bag on your eyes to relax them.
- Drink lots of water
- Watch the levels of salt in your diet. Salt leads to water retention that leads to dark circles and bags under the eyes.
