Speaking about the study, W. Keith Jones, Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine says this study is primarily to understand how diet and health are related to each other, and about how fat can help one to stay protected and away from heart attack. This doesn’t mean one to encourage consumption of fatty cheese and other fat adding materials, but when one gets heart attack, the individual is prone to live longer as their obesity tends to do so.
As always, this study involved experimenting with mice in which high fat food items were given before occurrence of heart attack. The food item contained 60 per cent of animal fat. Comparing these mice that had fat rich foods with that of dieting mice, it was found that mice that had fat rich foods were less prone to heart attack.
