Swine-flu fever has been spreading fast throughout the Northern states of India. So far, more than 1000 lives have been lost due to swine-flu fever.

Swine-flu has been spreading in the state of Tamil Nadu as well. The government has taken various measures to prevent the spreading of swine-flu. Even then, there are some places where swine-flu is present. So far, 12 people have died due to Swine-flu.

In this scenario, Mr. Pichaiyakumar, the president of the Siddha Medical Officers’ Association, explained the intake of special herbal concoction – ‘kabasura mooligai kudineer’ – as practised and recommended by Siddha Medical College students:

We have discovered the right herbal powder for prevention of swine-flu.

Just as ‘nilavembu powder’ was used for the prevention of dengue fever, this kabasura mooligai kudneer will prevent swine-flu.

The herbal powder has 15 herb ingredients (sukku, thippili, nilavembu, nelliver, siruthekku, sirukanjoriver, aadathodai, karpooravalli, vattathiruppiver, seenthilthandu, kadukkaithol, ghoshtam, Gorakkizhangu, akkkarakaaram, and neeliver).

These ingredients are mixed together and ground into a fine powder. Take 5 to 10 grams of this herbal powder, mix it in 200 ml water, reduce it to 50 ml by boiling, filter and then drink this concoction.

Presently, this herbal powder is available at all Siddha Medical Colleges, Siddha medical shops, and Indian Medical Cooperative stores.

Arrangements are being made to distribute this herbal powder free of cost in all Siddha Medical colleges.

Currently, special treatment is being administered to the patients who come with symptoms of swine-flu.

The public as well as the swine-flu affected patients have appealed that this herbal concoction should be distributed free as was done with the ‘nilavembu kashayam’ which was distributed free for preventing dengue fever.
