Food items recommended for summer!

The most important health aspect in summer is to ensure that there is no dehydration in our body.  Drinking plenty of water is the only recourse for this!

We can also take tender coconut, buttermilk, and juices of fruits like sweet lime, lemon, and water melon. It is better to take water or water-rich food items every hour.

Carry a water-bottle whenever you step out of your place! With the scorching sun, there are chances of being affected by sunstroke! Using an umbrella or a cap is advisable.

If possible, better avoid going out in the severe summer part of the day.

Several people are affected with ‘Epidemic Climatic Illness’. This tend to increase the body heat leading to eye-sickness or viruses measles, etc.

To prevent this, we must take more fruits, water-rich vegetables, and greens.

As a gift from Mother Nature, items like water melon, musk melon, sweet lime, and cucumber are available in plenty during the summer season. These must be added to our daily diet.

Avoid oil-fried snack items sold in way-side shops! This will lead to digestion problems & dysentery.

Water-rich vegetables like bottle gourd, radish, turnip, etc can be included.

People with high blood pressure and diabetics must take special to ensure against dehydration.

With summer holidays, children would be interested in going out to play – however, permit them to go out only during the evenings!

As they would be sweating a lot after & while playing, make sure to give them sufficient water. Those who do physical exercises may do it better only in the early mornings & evenings.

Take more citrus fruits. Being rich in Vitamin C, they will prevent dryness of skin. Milk & egg, rich in protein, may also be taken!
