A research has established that women who include Potassium rich food items in their diet can prevent heart-related illnesses.

Albert Einstein College of Medicine undertook a research with women of age group 50 & 79 who are past menopause.

This study established that the prospects of heart-related problems are very less among women who had a regular intake of Potassium-rich food.

Potassium helps digestion of protein in our metabolism and also helps growth of tissues while reducing the carbohydrate content.

The researchers recommend that women should include Potassium-rich food items in their diet on a regular basis.
