Study shows that two cups of tea a day keeps you healthier

According to a study conducted in Australia, women in their 70s or 80s who drank up to two cups of tea a day lived longer and healthier. Researchers have attributed this to flavonoids that are found in tea. 

The Journal of Clinical Nutrition says that the required amount flavonoids is 350 mg a day. This can be found in two cups of tea. This applies for tea (preferably herbal), without milk or sugar. The women who drank the required amount of tea were less likely to die of cancer or heart disease. This compound lowers blood pressure, reduces the risk of clots and strengthens bones.
