We widely believe that we will not repeat the same mistake that we have made in the past. Contrary to this common belief, a new research claims about the effectiveness of what we recall every day on the improvement of one`s self control decisions.

According to the lead author of the research, Hristina Nikolova, in spite of the wide belief that a person can make better decisions by remembering their mistakes done in the past, thoughts about failures will lead to repeating the mistakes.

This study is first of its kind and was conducted by the Boston College researchers. This involved researching the impact of consumers recollection on making decisions in money budgeting, persistence on challenging tasks, time budgeting, etc.
