Benefits of eating radish

Among the variety of vegetables we take in our daily diet, radish plays a significant role.

Radish comes in 2 colours – white & red. Whereas the white radish is rich in nutrients and other minerals, red radish is used mainly for the taste.

White radish contains Calcium, Sulphur, & Phosphorous. As it is rich in Calcium, it is an excellent item for the pregnant women and breast-feeding women.

As it brings coolness for the body, this is an ideal vegetable to take in large quantities especially during summer.

Juice extracted from young radish is an excellent medicine for children`s cold & stomach problems. Extract of young radish has to be mixed with a little honey or sugar and is to be given for curing complaints like constipation, cold, etc.

Radish juice extract can be taken by those have problems in the urinary track and also elders. Radish keeps the glucose level in blood under check. Hence, diabetics can include radish regularly in their diet.

All main parts of the radish plant, the leaves, the berry, and the seed have medicinal properties.
