While few vegetables can be consumed raw, a few others need to be compulsorily cooked before eating. At times, eating it raw may lead to digestive troubles. By cooking the vegetable, we can avoid digestive troubles. We can consume raw vegetables during summer season.

It is always good to consume raw vegetables and fruits along with lunch. Similarly, it is better to avoid raw vegetables during winter season. There are possibilities for these raw vegetables to cause damage to our body. As per Ayurvedha, raw vegetables give rise to digestive trouble, increase body temperature, and promote hair fall and insomnia. Further, fresh juices extracted from vegetables and fruits are recommended.

These will get digested easily and provides enough nutrition that is required. Those who are diabetic need to eat as solid foods though. Apple, papaya, berry, pineapple, pear fruit, holy basil, etc are helpful in taking away toxic substances from the body. These can be consumed raw or as juice.

Ginger, turmeric, coriander, fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, etc can be used to prepare soups just like vegetable soups. This again will be of help in getting rid of toxic substances from our body.

The vegetables can be cooked in low flame so as to retain their nutritive values. When cooked this way, these will not just carry all their nutritive values, but get digested so easily. By reheating the food prepared using oven, the molecules present in the item will be destroyed. This is harmful to health and hence it is always best to avoid using microwave ovens.

Including turmeric, cumin seeds, and pepper in your day to day cooking is always advisable and good for health. It also helps in giving us enough strength and goodness. Further, the food should not be overcooked.

Eating refrigerated food should also be avoided. It is best to consume freshly cooked foods than eating those that are cooked yesterday or the day before. Hence get rid of the practice of storing food in fridge and eating it for several days. This will give rise to digestive troubles, if practiced.
