30 percent of Indian population suffers from allergy

Under the pretext of urbanization, people world-over have made it a practice to destroy all natural resources and villages. This leads to high environmental pollution, climate changes and change in food habits.
These aspects, in turn, lead the people to allergy complaint. The pollen of flowers & pets may also be responsible for allergy.
A separate clinic for allergy test has been opened for the first time in K K Nagar in the city of Madurai.
The doctor in charge of the allergy clinic, Dr. J. Balasubramian, informed that the complaint of allergy has spread so much in the recent times to warrant opening a separate clinic for treatment.
20 to 30 percent of Indians suffer from allergy. 70 percent of this allergy is caused by asthma complaint, The balance 30 percent is caused by other reasons.
A large number of people get allergy from the smoke released by diesel vehicles. Germs, known as house dust mite, play a prominent role in causing allergy to people. These germs stay hidden in the mattresses/beds, bedspreads, and pillows. The excreta of these germs causes allergy to both children and elders.
House dust mite eats epithileum cells released from skin & hair. The pollen from flowers also can cause allergy. The feathers of cockroaches & mosquitoes and the hair-fall from pets like cats and dogs can cause allergy as well. So, proper care must be taken if you keep pets. The allergy catalysts present in the air block the respiration path in the nose, throat, larynx, and lungs and cause breathing difficulties.
This causes blocks in the nose, irritation in the eyes & nose, watering of eyes, incessant sneezing, attack of cold, irritation in the throat, and lung problems and finally leads to the asthmatic complaint.
Sometimes, allergy may be caused by some some food items we take.
Generally, we consume eggs, peanuts, wheat, cashew-nut, milk and seafood. Most of us do not get any allergy by this. However, a certain percentage of the people develop allergies by eating these items.
Immediately after the food, there will be eye irritation, blocks in the throat, and then stomach ache. Sometimes, this may even lead to vomiting & loose motion.
Dr. Balasubramian explained that the emission from the vehicle causes max allergy complaints, especially during the summer season.
The best cure of allergy lies in detecting the form of allergy and the reason for the same.
Blood tests & skin tests must be taken to trace the germs causing allergy.
Just as we provide vaccination for children, by injecting the allergy-creating germs through injection and thus creating better body resistance against diseases. Recently, tablets have been introduced in the market. These tablets must be kept under the tongue.
