No other food contains as much nutrition in this world as mother’s milk. Mother’s milk does not serve only as a food - it acts as a medicine as well. To the infant.

Gynaecologist, Dr. Premalatha informs about the ratio of nutrition elements comparing mother’s breast milk and the bottled milk:
If mothers continuously give mother’s milk to their kids, there is no necessity to give any vitamin doses. Mother`s milk contains all the required vitamins. F we become aware of the great difference between mother’s milk and bottled milk, we will completely refrain from giving bottled milk to infants.

The comparison

Mother’s Milk
·  Natural food

·  Natural illness preventing medicine

·  Keeps the infant’s body temperature in the right level

·  As sodium content is less, it is good for the infant’s kidneys

·  Mother’s milk cures loose motion (Diarrhea), Asthma, allergy,. Skin diseases, and pus coming out of the ears.

Bottle Milk
· Cow’s milk or powdered milk is an artificial food. It does not have the same quality, nutrition, and safety as mother’s milk

·  If there is any neglect in the usual tedious procedure of keeping the bottle and the nipple clean, and preparing milk from powder, boiling this mixture or milk, etc., it will affect th infant with illness. Also, the time spent on this preparatory work is more. The infant may not be able to bear this delay.

· Sometimes, if the infant refuses to suck the milk from the bottle, honey or sweet is rubbed on the nipple and then fed. This may create some side effects for the infant.

· Bottled milk takes more time for digestion.

· If the expiry date of the powder is not taken note of, it may lead to some problems for the infant such as loose motion or vomiting.

Some women, under the impression that it will harm their beauty, do not give mother’s milk to their infants. Or, maybe they stop it at an early stage of the infant. Some others may not care about this, but they might be too lazy to give mother’s milk or reluctant to get up from sleep for this reason and thus tend to give cow’s milk to the infant.

These women to think again to consider whether beauty and sleep will be worth as compared to the infant getting an unmatched nutritious food with medicinal values. They will definitely start feeding their kids till the age of 6 months or 1 year.
