Sleeping on your stomach helps to improve digestion. However, your head will naturally turn to the left or right leading to strain on your neck. So, people who sleep on their stomach can place a pillow under one of their sides, which will help them sleep better.
The foetal position, or sleeping with your chin tilted down and knees drawn in to your chest may be comfortable, but it can strain your back and neck. If this is what makes you comfortable, you should curl up on the right side of your body. Because sleeping on your left side can cause stress on your vital organs: liver, stomach, and lungs. You can also reduce strain on your hips by placing a pillow between your knees.
The spine is best supported in its natural curve if you sleep on your side with both arms down. This will definitely help in reducing back and neck pain. But the downside of sleeping on the side is that it can lead to facial wrinkles and sagging breasts. To make the most of this position, you can place a pillow between your knees to sleep better.
